Another classic case of putting the cart before the horse, or not securing the horse and letting it bolt out of the stable without its rider. Windows Phone users will be getting a dedicated hardware camera button – that is a fact which has been confirmed by Microsoft's Joe Belfiore, Corporate Vice President,
Windows Phone Program Management, in his tweet that you see above. No idea on just how big of an issue a dedicated camera button is with users, but it does seem to be of some importance even with Apple, as iOS 5 will offer iPhones a dedicated camera button (sorta) as well. The volume up hardware button that is located on the side will trigger the shutter and snap the picture.
Windows Phone users by now would know that as part of a Windows Phone makeup, there is a need for a dedicated hardware camera button, where said button can also see action by waking up the device to enter the camera app from sleep mode directly. Sure beats having a shortcut button at the least.
