Amazingly though, you can get the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play right now for dirt cheap, almost free even. And all it takes is not buying it from Verizon. That's all. A new two-year contract is still required, but if you absolutely need to get yourself some of that hot PlayStation action on Android, here's the good news.
First off, Wirefly now offers the Xperia Play for $0.99. Yes, not even one dollar. Amazon, however, has an even better idea. It sells the Xperia Play for a mere cent ($0.01), just like the HTC Droid Incredible 2 we reported on earlier.
So why did we even bother posting Wirefly's offer if Amazon's is better? Well, because if you do opt to get the phone from Wirefly, you'll also receive $25 free credit to spend on apps in the Android Market. So if you like to install loads of apps on your smartphone(s), then Wirefly is probably where you should buy the Xperia Play from.
If, however, you don't care about such things, you can of course head on over to Amazon and save those extra 98 cents. Who knows what you'll need them for?
