First off, I don't know if you remember this, but back in March Sprint decided to get rid of the famed US tradition called the mail-in rebate. This wasn't necessarily going to stay the case forever, basically Sprint was just testing the waters. Well, it looks like that experiment has been paying off for the carrier at least in part, since a leaked internal Sprint memo obtained by BriefMobile clearly points out that the instant rebates (read: not mail-in) will be extended all the way through July 23.
Keep in mind that this doesn't necessarily mean that mail-in rebates will be making a comeback to sprint on July 24 – the carrier may well decide to keep extending the instant rebates even further. Or not, of course. But for now, if you're interested in becoming a Sprint customer, you're safe knowing that what you see advertised is exactly the price you're going to pay if you get a Sprint gadget.
In other Sprint news, it looks like the carrier is getting ready to introduce shared data plans for both 3G and 4G traffic. This information comes via IntoMobile, who have received a Sprint insider memo saying that Sprint will have a shared data plan ready on June 12.
