Bad news aside, this update will improve incoming call connectivity, and it will also make the over-the-air update delivery mechanism work better. Those are basically the only things this update brings, but both seem pretty important to us, so perhaps you shouldn't postpone performing the update.
Speaking of that, the update will happen over-the-air, so just wait for your phone to notify you that there's an update available. Then go from there. Alternatively, if you're impatient, go to Settings > About phone > System updates and tap on Check New. This should force the update to come your way.
Either way, the update may not be immediately available for your particular device, as these things usually take a few days to trickle down to everyone. So don't panic. For full installation instructions, read this PDF here. To take another look at the benefits of this update, go through this PDF.
