Analyst IMS Research has just sent out some data regarding the global smartphone market, estimating that a total of 420 million smartphones will be sold around the world during 2011. It doesn't really tell us anything else of note, but there is a rather excellent graph pitching all the manufacturers against each other.
Here's how the WAR ROOM has been playing out between Q1 of 2010 and Q1 of 2011.
Interesting to see the lows from which some of the manufacturers have started, like, Sony Ericsson had only 3% of the market at the start of 2010 and LG barely even existed statistically speaking back then.
