So, if you're in the UK and must be one of the first people over there to get their hands on HTC's 3D smartphone, you need to pre-order one. Luckily, you can now do just that.
If you want to get the device SIM-free and unlocked, then Play.com is your friend. It will let you pre-order an Evo 3D for £499.99, with free delivery. Speaking of which, the retailer expects to start shipping the handsets to customers on September 5.
If you're more of a contract person, then head over to Mobile Phones Direct. This third-party retailer now lets you pre-order the Evo 3D with Vodafone or T-Mobile contracts. To get the device for free, you'll have to pick a plan that costs at least £33.5 per month. That cheapest plan is on Vodafone and gives you 500 minutes, unlimited texts, and 500 MB of data each month.
The cheapest T-Mobile plan which allows you to pay nothing upfront costs £40.85 per month. This gives you 1200 minutes, as well as unlimited texts and data. However, you could get the Evo 3D on a T-Mobile plan costing just £35.74 per month, if you don't mind paying £5 for the phone upfront. That plan would give you 1200 minutes, 500 texts, and unlimited data.
Mobile Phones Direct estimates that it will ship the Evo 3D to you in 59 days from today. That's September 19, so two weeks later than Play.com.
Wherever you decide to pre-order from, you're going to have to be very patient, as, despite already making its way to North America, the HTC Evo 3D will be taking some time to get to Europe.
