Verizon Samsung Galaxy S II won't be available in July after all, the 4G LTE Galaxy Tab 10.1 will

Let's say your job is being a spokesperson for a company. How good a fit are you for that job, and for that company, if you get its upcoming products confused? If your brain allows you to get a tablet confused with a phone, or the other way round… should you be working for a carrier such as Verizon? I mean those are your employer's main methods of attracting consumers into its contracts, and yet you get them confused. Major loss of geek street cred there for Verizon.

What am I on about, you ask? Remember that yesterday we told you that the Samsung Galaxy S II would be launched (under a different brand, most likely) by Verizon in July? That post was based on information from ComputerWorld. The guys over there spoke to a Verizon spokesperson, and she told them that the Galaxy S II would be available from Big Red in July. Okay?

Well, not okay. Since apparently what she meant was that the LTE-enabled Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be available at Verizon in July. That's still some good news, but… and here the “how can you confuse those things?!” discussion begins.

Anyway, now you know. That we still don't know when Verizon will start selling the Samsung Galaxy S II, the superphone of 2011 (or at least the first half of 2011 – who knows what the ‘holiday season' has in store for us?).
