AT&T-friendly HTC Sensation hits the FCC

Tuesday, June 7, 2011

The HTC Sensation - which will be released by T-Mobile USA on June 15 - may also come to AT&T.

There's nothing official about this at the moment, but the FCC has approved a version of the Sensation (HTC PG58110) which features 850x1900 MHz WCDMA connectivity, thus being compatible with AT&T's HSPA network.

Certainly, an FCC approval doesn't guarantee the launch of a handset in the US. But it does move things in the right direction.

If AT&T decides to offer the Sensation, it will probably change the smartphone's name to differentiate it from T-Mobile's edition.

Already available in Europe, the HTC Sensation features Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 4.3 inch qHD (960 x 540) display, Sense UI, Bluetooth 3.0, 8MP camera with 1080p video recording, 768MB of RAM, and a dual-core 1.2GHz processor.
