Pantech Burst Android Smartphone
[CES 2012] Pantech intends to burst (pardon the pun, I cannot resist it) onto the smartphone scene with their latest addition, the Pantech Burst. Coming in the similar form factor as that of other standard Android-powered smartphones, the Pantech Burst will target the budget-conscious crowd, considering a 2-year contract with AT&T accompanied by a mere $49.99 price tag allows you to bring home the Burst. The Pantech Burst is also the first 4G LTE device from Pantech, sporting a 4" Super AMOLED display, Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread as the operating system of choice, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 16GB of internal memory that can be further augmented thanks to a microSD memory card slot, and dual cameras with the 5-megapixel rear shooter letting you record 720p resolution video as well.

You can choose from either black or red colors, and hopefully the 1,650mAh battery is able to last the distance. I suppose if you do not happen to play games at all and use its data connection sparingly, the Pantech Burst would make a great companion, but otherwise, it is still a decent entry-level phone for those who want to dip their toes into the Android world for the first time. Definitely not as shabby looking as other cheap phones, so you need not feel ashamed of pulling it out from your pocket in a social setting.
