First, it was the US of A, and now the Xperia Play has become cheaper in the UK as well. Not as cheap as on contract in the US, but still a lot cheaper than what it went for during pre-order season. Eurodroid reports that Play.com, a well known online retailer of unlocked, unbranded, SIM-free mobile phones will now sell you a Sony Ericsson Xperia Play for £399.99, with free shipping. You can also get 10% off if you buy a microSD card with the phone.
Clove is another of the established independent phone retailers in the UK, and it has the Xperia Play up for grabs for just £390, yet without free shipping. So, shipping included, the final price you'll have to pay will probably be similar regardless of which retailer you choose to purchase from.
