Nexus S With AT&T 3G Radios Shows Up at Online Retailer

Online retailer Negri Electronics has seemingly outed an AT&T version of the Samsung Nexus S, but that most likely isn't the case. Instead, it could be an import from overseas or simply a version of the device headed for several major Canadian carriers very soon. We'd bank heavily on the latter considering its modest price in US dollars. (Imports tend to be a lot more expensive than the MSRP.)

Whatever the case, if you have been wanting a Nexus S for AT&T and can't wait for the powers that be to bring it then this may be your best shot. (That's if you were already planning on getting it without a contract.) Head over there to purchase one if you're feeling up to it.

Samsung Galaxy Prevail to be Samsung's Low-End Android for Boost

We received an invitation to New York to join Samsung as they look to unveil a new device for pre-paid carrier Boost Mobile, but had no idea what to expect. The event isn’t scheduled to go down until Tuesday, but Engadget’s received a 19-paged document in which they found the Samsung Galaxy Prevail, a low-end Android handset.

From the looks of this thing, it’s about as bare an Android phone as you’re going to get. It has a now-smallish 3.2 inch capacitive display, a 2 megapixel camera, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooh, and expandable memory (among other usual suspects) – that’s all that could be mustered up as far as specs go.

And judging by that list, I’d say don’t expect too much excitement in other areas such as processor, RAM, which version of Android it’ll run. Virgin also looks to be carrying the device, according to the same source. The device will cost $180 so this is as good as it’s going to get if you want a cheap introduction to Android.

Samsung Gem headed to Verizon

The Samsung Gem that was officially announced to arrive on US Cellular a few days ago will be headed to Verizon in the near future as well. Some photographs of the phone have been posted online, showing off the phone with Verizon badge on the device and on the startup screen itself. The phone is nothing to shout about, featuring entry-level specs, Android 2.2 and no 4G LTE, but that means it shouldn't cost too much with a 2-year Verizon contract either. Samsung Nori F2 introduced

Samsung of South Korea has just rolled out a new cell phone in their country under the Nori banner, where it will be known as the Samsung Nori F2. If you happen to have a penchant for model names and numbers, then this puppy can be called the SHW-A280S/K/L. Boasting a 3″ touchscreen display and a clamshell form factor, it does seem to defy common convention. After all, why have a clamshell when you can't access the display when closed? At least when it is closed, an LED display will do its best to let you know the most basic of information such as incoming or missed calls, any unread text messages, emails and calendar events among others. Since this is Korea we're talking about, no surprise to see a T-DMB tuner thrown into the mix, alongside a 3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth connectivity and a microSD memory card slot. Would it arrive Stateside? We don't think so, but if you're heading to South Korea anytime soon, this might be worth a look.

Samsung Droid Charge spotted

Verizon intends to make hay while the sun shines, and in this case, to fully maximize the use of their 4G LTE network by offering smartphones to go along with it. Apparently, PocketNow has a new image of an upcomnig 4G device from Verizon, where it will be called either the Droid Stealth or Droid Charge, but what we do know is the Droid branding has been confirmed. Touted to roll out sometime in the middle of next month, it might result in being the second LTE smartphone from Big Red (unless the LG Revolution or Motorola Droid Bionic arrives earlier of course), with Android 2.2 Froyo in tow albeit having assurance that Android 2.3 Gingerbread will be made available sometime down the road. Better start saving up from now if you want to get something else apart from the Thunderbolt!

Samsung SCH LC11 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot for Verizon

Mobile broadband has developed quite a lot, now that 4G networks are now available for use. This device can allow users to share a single connection with up to 5 WiFi enabled devices. And because of the new 4G LTE network, users may be able to take advantage of a technology that is 10x faster than the current 3G mobile networks with download speeds of 5 to 12Mbps and upload speeds of 2 to 5Mbps in areas providing adequate 4G coverage. The new Samsung SCH LC11 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot is now available at Verizon for US$150 with a 2-year service contract. Its full retail price stands at US$270.

Samsung Galaxy S Plus With 1.4GHz Processor

Samsung Russia's Livejournal blog has unveiled that the company will release the Galaxy S Plus (i9001). The smartphone features a metallic back cover, the Google Android 2.3 OS, a faster 1.4GHz processor, a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, an HD video support, an 8GB internal memory and a 1650mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy S Plus (i9001) will be launched in April 2011 in Russia for 23,990 Rubles ($842).

Samsung has officially announced the availability of the Galaxy Neo SHW-M220L in South Korea. The Neo is actually an improved version of Galaxy Ace. The smartphone runs on the Google Android 2.2 OS, a 3.5-inch WVGA display, Wi-Fi, GPS, T-DMB, a 3.5mm headset jack, a 3MP camera, a 4GB of on-board memory and an 800MHz processor. Nokia is set to drop another dual SIM phone ‘C2-00′ into the market.
